The Dream of Blue Eyes is a photo self portrait of Shawn Harris. Having given up his brown eyes shawn gives in to the social pressures, and fitting in with popular culture's pressures to be beautiful, has a procedure. The photograph is based on a reoccurring dream, he has his irises removed and in the middle of the procedure the doctor gets a phone call and abruptly leaves the room making the excuse that his daughter has been kidnapped by a bear. Shawn is left on his own to finish the operation, getting twisted in the sheets, he falls from the gurney and impales himself on a blunt pair of tongs.
